The evening flight will arrive in Taipei Taoyuan International Airport at about 10 p.m., and VIPs will be transported to hotel for check-in by hotel limousine bus. Early arrivals may check in on their own.

Taoyuan, Dongshan River, National Center for Traditional Arts, Jhong Shan Agriculture Leisure Area, Yilan

After breakfast, board the Dongshan River boat ride to Taiwan National Center of Traditional Arts and enjoy beautiful organic tea gardens at Yilan. Learn about the multi step process of tea making including picking, hand-frying, and drying. VIPs will have the opportunity to bring home these hand-made tea. Free time after dinner will allow you to explore the Yilan night market for some unique and memorable late night snack.

Yilan, Hualien, Taroko Gorge, Swallows’ Grotto-tiansiang

Continue your Taiwan journey by taking the North Link Railway to Hualien. Take in the gorgeous Taroko National Park before hitting the Shakadang Trail and Swallow Grotto Trail – Tiansiang.

Show off your skills and be a Amis Hunter for a day at the Ciwidian Hunter School. Learn about traditional Amis weaving and cuisine. For lunch, try the Tribal No Cooking Utensil meal using natural resources and authentic flavors. Visit Little Switzerland – East Rift Valley – and Dapochih, Chisahng, Guanshan, Brown’s Road in the evening and finally the Chishang Lunchbox Museum to learn about Taiwan’s quirky authentic lunchbox history.

Luye, Taitung, National Museum of Prehistory, Kaohsiung, Formosa Boulevard, Pier 2 Art Center

Learn more about Taiwan ‘s tea culture at Luye’s Gaotai and enjoy some grass skiing fun. Arrive at Taitung to explore the Tiehua Village, Railway Cultural Park, and the National Museum of Prehistory. Visit Kaohsiung’s Dream Mall which houses a Ferris Wheel overlooking the skyline of Kaohsiung city(admissions at your own expense). Explore the Formosa Boulevard, the most beautiful Metro station in the world, and the Pier 2 Art Center before dining at the local hotspot. Free time after dinner is a perfect opportunity to stroll along the Love River or ride the solar-powered Love Boat(at your own expense) for the night scenery.

Kaohsiung, The Fo Guang Shan Buddha Memorial Center, Michelin 3 Star City – Tainan, Tainan Confucian Temple, ”Du Hsiao Yueh” Restaurant

Fo Guang Shan Buddha Memorial Center guided tour is on the itinerary in the morning before trying out the Grand Hi-Lai vegetarian dishes there. Visit Tainan, a Michelin 3-star city, to see the ancient capital and Tainan Confucian Temple, the first college in Taiwan. Some free time in the afternoon will allow you to explore the old capital. Dine at the exclusive Du Hsiao Yueh Restaurant, favorites of past presidents and enjoy recipes dating from the last century.

Tainan, Anping Fort(Fort Zeelandia), Chiayi, Fencihu, Yuyupas, Alishan

Visit Fort Zeelandia from the Dutch, also known more commonly as Anping Fort. Try the Authentic Urn Chicken and other local delicacies before arriving at Fencihu Old Street to explore a century old train station and Land Guardian Temple and the Grandpa Locomotive garage. Taste the famous Alishan tea at Yuyupas while learning about the Tsou tribe through special weekend performances.

Alishan, Hsiting, Sun Moon Lake

Weather permitting, wake up early for an arranged mini-trian ride up Alishan to view a magnificent sunrise from the renowned scenic spot or opt-out and enjoy a quiet morning at the phytoncide bath. Continue the scenic portion of the journey by visiting Hsiting where you will marvel at the Elephant Mountain and the  Sea of Clouds. Arrive at the famed Sun Moon Lake and check in to the 5-star Fleur de Chine to enjoy the luxurious hotel amenities.

Enjoy your “no morning call” morning by relaxing at the hotel. Relax and enjoy warm tea and snack at Nantou Sunnyhills before touring Taichung and experiencing a DIY hand-shake Bubba Milk Tea. Visit the Arg Green Park in the evening and arrive at the famed and popular Taipei Shilin Night Market to try out some unique local snacks and shopping fun.

Taipei, Martyrs’ Shrine, National Palace Museum, Danshui, Taipei

Start the day at Taiwan’s capital by touring the Martyrs Shine and the National Palace Museum, one of five largest museum in the world. Indulge yourself with the Forbidden City Feast before visiting Danshui Old Street, Fort San Domingo, Little White House and Fisherman’s Wharf in the evening. Rides back to your Taipei hotel (for guests participating the Taipei city tour extension) or to the Taoyuan International Airport are provided.
