Yuanjiacun Village : Begin your day by visiting Yuanjiacun Village, a folk village in the Guanzhong area, the origin of Chinese civilization. There are many artisanal workshops, a rarity in modern times. These craftsmen will teach you how to weave traditional cloth. You can continue exploring the old city by strolling through its alleys, finding oil shops, textile shops and wine shops. Greeted by genuine smiles and friendly locals, you will experience a life from centuries ago.
Huaqing Pool, Terracotta Museum, Muslim Quarter : The day begins with a visit to the beautiful Huaqing Pool hot springs. The hot springs were built 723 AD by Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty for his favorite consort Yang Guifei. It is famous for its 43C mineral water and for Xuanzong’s tragic romance with Yang Guifei. After lunch, you will visit the Terra Cotta Warriors. Constructed by China’s first emperor Qinshihuang, they were meant to follow him in the afterlife so he could keep his worldwide rule after death. He built a majestic mausoleum surrounded by large numbers of terracotta warriors, chariots and weapons. Look carefully, you will find that each terracotta warrior has a different face.After returning back to your hotel, you will visit the lively Muslim Quarter to explore and enjoy local Chinese Islamic food.
Shaanxi History Museum, Ancient City Wall, Beilin Museum : Shaanxi History Museum, is an artistic hall which displays Shaanxi history, culture and Chinese imperial artifacts. Later, stand on the top of the world’s most protected ancient city wall, and appreciate the rise and fall of an ancient capital city. Visit the Beilin Museum, where you’ll meet a Chinese calligraphy tutor, and learn to write your favorite Chinese characters.
